
Unison Kinneil Band has announced the arrival of four new players ahead of their First Section appearance in Perth next month.
Cornet, bass, percussion
Katie Ankers from Kilmarnock Concert Brass takes the soprano chair with Sandy McGrattan who is Principal Trumpet with the Scottish Ballet Orchestra joining the cornet section.
Kenny Brown signs from Kingdom Brass on the Principal Eb Bass chair whilst completing the line-up is Camy Marr who re-joins the Kinneil Percussion Section after he finished a short break from banding.
Hard work to go in
A Unison Kinneil spokesperson from the band commented "We are absolutely delighted to be securing the signings of these four top quality players. We have been working extremely hard over the last few months to prepare the set test piece ‘Cry of the Mountain’ with our Musical Director Craig Anderson and we hope this is the final piece in the jigsaw to regain our Championship status for 2014.”
